As Lions we need to look forward. We have a proud past, but it is the future where our destiny lies. We need to make sure that our Lions clubs are here for our communities when we are not, so we need to be encouraging the youth in our communities to join us.
Young Leaders in service is the tool we have that will give us an opportunity to work with them. In schools the students have to get involved with service in their communities as part of the national curriculum. All we have to do is to get the students to log their hours of service, have them confirmed by the staff and we can reward them with a certificate (Silver for 50 hours and/or Gold for 100 hours) from Lions Clubs International signed by the International President.
