John joined the Lions family in1992 as a member of Wayland Lions Club and
choose to transfer to Wymondham this year. Married to Heather; they have 3
children, Sarah, Mark and Gemma.
They are also proud grandparents of Sophie. John is a Quantity Surveyor. He
was PRO and President on two occasions for his previous club. Whilst at District
level he has held the positions of Zone and Region Chairman, Region and District
PRO and Chairman of the Triple P Committee. This year he has been presented with
a plaque in recognition of the service he has given as Chairman of the Joint
District Lord Mayor of London Participation Committee. He is also District
Diabetes Awareness Officer and Multiple District Diabetes Awareness coordinator.
John, along with all the District and Multi District duties found time to
attend the Senior Lions Institute in Rome for which he says “I benefited so much
from the intensive training about our organisation, its protocol, its past and
future that it will put me in good stead for the ambitions I have as a Lion“
He truly is a dedicated Lion and never misses the chance to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
