Halesworth Lions Club Summer Carnival and Duck Race

The Summer Carnival is always held on the second Sunday in June.  In 2010 it was on 13th June and in 2011 will be on 12th June.

The Thoroughfare is closed for the event as the Carnival Procession passes through the centre of town the wrong way from its start point on the Blyth Road industrial estate.

Once again we were lucky to have a dry day (well most of it!) and pleasantly warm. If you talk to the B.B.Q crew they will tell you it was very hot? The Duck Race gang will tell you it was very wet and cold! (in the river ), at least they didn’t drown or get swept into the North Sea, the ducks were quite happy though!

With over 20 entries in the procession the President had his work cut out deciding the winners but he did.
